25 % of South Africans have a cryptocurrency with an average value of assets under $ 70-

According to the results of a study by Kla, a market research and data specialist, about 47 % of South African adults have cryptocurrencies, with the majority of this number of plants with low value. In addition, the study shows that 36% are planning to invest in crypto in the future.

South Africans are still experimenting with cryptocurrency

Although the UCK results state that 47 % of the South Africans are owners, Businesstech Tessa nowosenetz from uck cited that the value of kept crypto assets is still very low. This low average value indicates that many still try to understand crypto. To emphasize this point, said Novosenetz:

During this percentage, the amount invested is low. This indicates that the majority of the South African crypto investors are experimenting and tries to enter into a significant financial commitment.

According to the results of the study, 25 % of those surveyed who have cryptocurrencies have invested between $ 7 and $ 70 (or between 100 and 1,000 rims) in digital assets. Fewer South Africans-about 13% of the respondents-have cryptocurrencies worth between $ 70 and $ 700.

Only three percent of those surveyed stated that they had digital currencies with a value of over $ 3,400. Despite a considerable number of people who have cryptocurrencies, the majority of South Africans (53%) are not a crypto holder, according to the study.

Businesstech notes that, despite their cautious crypto investment approach, many South Africans remain curious and “interested in learning the ropes while participating in a process”. However, the report states that many venture into crypto because they are interested in making “a quick profit”. Novosenetz explains:

The greatest attraction and advantage of crypto is the perception that there is the possibility of making considerable profits from their investment at short notice, with 43% specifying this as the main reason for the interest in crypto.

The report also shows that about 20% of those who deal with cryptocurrencies do so because they want to diversify their portfolio. On the other hand, about 16% of those surveyed said that they are interested in using or acting cryptocurrencies because "everyone can do it". The study shows that 36% are planning to invest in cryptocurrencies in the future and that only four percent of the respondents call the lack of regulation as the main reason for the decision for cryptocurrencies.
