Uxlink plans to take great token migration after hacker attack-security guaranteed!
On October 6, 2025 Crypto News reports on the developments around the UxLink token, which recently successfully completed a smart contract audit. This measure is part of the preparations for upcoming token migration. The audit confirms the creation of a new token contract with a fixed offer to restore the trust of the users after a serious security incident.
The security incident occurred on September 22, 2023, when a hack was unveiled, which branched off $ 11.3 million and shaped billions of UxLink token. The attacker came through the use of a "delegatecall" weak point to admin rights via the multi-signature wallet from Uxlink and was able to deduct assets, including stable coins, ETH and WBTC. Around 490 million newly shaped UxLink tokens were then sold on decentralized stock exchanges.
Reactions to the security incident
After the hack, the prices for Uxlink fell by more than 70%, from around $ 0.30 to around $ 0.09. Safety companies and large central exchanges, such as Upbit, quickly reacted to the incident. The Peckshield company was involved in the investigation and frozen deposits. In addition, law enforcement was informed and recovery procedures for the frozen assets were initiated immediately.
A remarkable aspect of these events is that the attacker later became the victim of a phishing fraud, in which he lost 542 million UXLINK-TOKEN, which were transferred to Phishing Wallets. Uxlink has explained that the frozen addresses are currently under restoration procedures and that the losses for the community are treated transparently, including possible compensation.
Migration and future plans
In the meantime, on September 24, 2023, the UXLINK team announced on Platform X that the new Ethereum contract was successfully audited and was implemented as part of an emergency token-swap plan on the Mainset. The migration, which is in line with the white paper of the project, is considered essential to adapt the offer and to regain the lost trust of the users.
The team emphasized that central exchanges were informed about the upcoming swap and that most of them have already promised support or have announced temporary suspensions during the swap. Users are urgently asked to follow official channels in order to obtain instructions on migration. The MINT Burn function was removed, with the UxLink ticker for continuity.
